Can I invest on behalf of a child?

Yes, you can invest on behalf of a child through the Vantage Service.

Junior ISAs

A parent or guardian can open and manage tax-efficient Junior ISAs for eligible children. Once the Junior ISA has been opened anyone, friend or family, is able to make a contribution up to the annual limit (currently £3,600 per child per tax year). When the child reaches 18 their account is automatically converted into an 'adult' ISA and they are entitled to full access to their investments and savings.

Our Investors' Guide to Junior ISAs provides a wealth of information about Junior ISAs, including an explanation of the tax benefits and who is eligible.

Junior SIPPs

Child pensions, such as the Vantage Junior SIPP, are an increasingly popular way to invest for a child's retirement due to the generous tax relief available on contributions and the effect of compound growth over the long term.
