HL research - our view on this fund
Richard Plackett is reasonably optimistic in his outlook for 2013. Although low economic growth looks set to remain this year, he believes data from the US and developing world suggests economic weakness is largely confined to Europe. In the UK, he anticipates the government will continue with its quantitative easing programme and expects the UK economy to benefit. However, he believes the strongest growth is likely to come from outside the UK so continues to favour high-quality companies with a strong international presence.
