Jupiter has this morning (27 July 2010) made the following announcement regarding Laurie Petar:
"It is with great sadness we inform you that Laurie Petar, manager of the Jupiter Fund of Investment Trusts and the Jupiter Monthly Income Fund, died on Sunday 25th July, following a protracted fight with cancer."
Patrick Harrington, who has worked alongside Laurie Petar on the two funds since 1 January 2010, will take over sole management with immediate effect.
We believe existing investors should continue to hold the funds, as while this is undoubtedly sad news, the funds have been left in extremely capable hands.
