Hargreaves Lansdown has six joiners to their new apprenticeship scheme.
This is the first time Hargreaves Lansdown has offered apprenticeships in highly skilled and technical areas such as IT and digital marketing. This reflects the shift in the business to digital and mobile - more people now go to our website via mobile devices than through desktops.
The apprenticeship scheme is one segment of our 5 pronged youth training programme:

The apprentices will be equipped with knowledge and skills, and valuable experience of working in one of the most successful financial services companies in the UK.

George Sommerfield joins the Digital Marketing team from Chew Valley School. In his spare time, he is heavily involved with Bristol's music scene as a DJ and promoter.
George says “I've always worked for myself. Joining Hargreaves Lansdown will allow me to use the skills I have in a team. I learn best by doing things and believe that learning on the job via an apprenticeship will be far more beneficial for me personally, than spending time at university.”
Chloe Andreoletti joins the Client Support team from Henbury Secondary School.
“I joined this apprenticeship scheme because I like the idea of working my way up with hard work and determination. I believe that working with HL would bring me distinguished experience.”
About the apprentices
The apprentices will work in Digital Marketing, IT and Client Support. They are aged between 16 and 19:
