Angel Ortiz joined Fidelity in 2005 as research analyst initially covering Pan European chemicals and auto industries and, subsequently, covering house builders from 2007. In 2008, he was appointed joint manager of the Latin America pilot. Prior to joining Fidelity, Angel spent three years in Venezuela working as an oilfield engineer for Schlumberger (from 2000 to 2003), and as a gas engineer for Petroleas de Venezuela (from 1998 to 1999). He holds a bachelor of science in Chemical Engineering and MBA from Indiana University.

Alex Duffy started his career at Fidelity in 2004 as a European Business Services Analyst. In 2005, Alex joined the EMEA team as a research analyst covering raw materials and natural resources, key sectors in Latin America. In 2007, he took over management of the Emerging EMEA pilot fund while retaining research responsibility for natural resources. He was appointed Portfolio Manager of the Latin America pilot, alongside Angel Ortiz, in 2008. Alex holds an MA in Economic Analysis from the University of Nottingham.
