Equity income funds are popular with investors. Most aim to generate a rising income, and increase the value of your original investment, over the long term. The income can be paid out, or reinvested in the fund to boost long-term growth. Different fund managers take different approaches to income investing. Prior to this, he worked at Schroders Investment Management, first as an equity analyst and then as a fund manager. Before this, he was a fund manager at BAE Systems Pension Fund. He began his investment career at Fletcher Advisory as a technology/strategic consultant in 2000. Ed has an MA in Classics and is a CFA® charterholder.
