Fund Management Group Comment

Royal London Asset Management (RLAM) is part of the Royal London Group and was established in 1988. The acquisitions of Scottish Life In 2001, and Scottish Provident and Phoenix Life Assurance in 2008 boosted the assets under management at the group, and it now looks after a diverse range of assets including fixed income, equities, cash and property. RLAM offers a wide choice of funds for investors. The company's forte is in the provision of income portfolios and its philosophy is that all well-diversified portfolios should include an element of income.

Craig Inches joined RLAM in January 2009 as a Fund Manager with the Fixed Interest Team. He is responsible for the management of government bond portfolios including index linked bonds, gilts and non UK sovereign debt. Craig joined RLAM after a successful 11 year career at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership. At SWIP, Craig built up a strong track record across a wide range of fixed interest funds, being appointed Fixed Income Investment Director in 2003. Craig has an MSc in Investment Analysis from Stirling University and a BSc (Hons) in Actuarial Mathematics and Statistics from Heriot-Watt University.

Richard manages our two recently launched fixed income sustainable funds - Sustainable Managed Growth and Sustainable Managed Income. He joined The Co-operative as a trainee actuary in 1994, before moving into Asset Management in 1997 where he helped run the cash and treasury function from 1999. He has been managing gilts since 2000 and corporate bonds since 2005 and currently manages the Co-operative PACE (Pension Average Career Earnings) fixed-income portfolio and assists in managing the Life fund portfolios.
