Link Asset Services (the fund’s Authorised Corporate Director) confirmed today that trading in the Woodford Equity Income Fund remains suspended. Link confirmed the timeline stated in the last update of July 29, that the fund will likely be suspended for another four months until early December.

It extended the suspension in the best interests of all investors, to give the fund manager time to reposition the portfolio in a measured and orderly way.

Link has been monitoring the progression of the fund manager and anticipates that the fund will continue to be suspended until early December.

While trading remains suspended we will continue to waive our platform charge for the Woodford Equity Income Fund.

In a statement on Friday August 23 Link said:

“We continue to monitor progress of the repositioning of the Fund’s portfolio to ensure that it is on track and our aim of lifting the suspension in December remains achievable. We currently remain of the view that this is a realistic timeframe, and therefore have decided that it remains in the interests of all investors for the suspension of dealings to continue. This has been agreed with the Depositary and we have informed the Financial Conduct Authority accordingly.”

Link has confirmed that they will continue to monitor the fund’s portfolio, and have committed to formally reviewing the suspension every 28 days.

If Link announce any material changes to the suspension date before December we will let you know.

We will contact you again when Link have provided us with a definitive date regarding the fund suspension being lifted.
