Details (last updated 5 Nov 2021)

CC Japan Income & Growth Trust plc subscription shares are offering shareholders the opportunity to exercise their subscription shares.

The deadline to give an instruction is noon on Monday 29 November 2021.

You have three options

1. Do nothing

You don’t have to convert your subscription shares on this occasion. There will be quarterly exercise opportunities up until February 2023.

2. Pay to convert your subscription shares to normal shares

You can choose to buy the new shares at 161p each.

• You can buy one share for each subscription share held. You cannot buy any additional shares on top of this.

• If your subscription shares are in an ISA / LISA, you can buy the shares in your ISA /LISA or a HL Fund and Share Account. Otherwise you can only buy new shares in the account where you currently hold the subscription shares.

• Your new shares will be bought at 161p, regardless of the price of CC Japan Income & Growth Trust plc shares. This means you could end up paying more or less than the market price of CC Japan Income & Growth Trust plc shares. So, it’s a good idea to check the current CC Japan Income & Growth Trust plc share price before making your decision.

Make sure the cash you need to buy shares is in your capital (not income) account by noon on Monday 29 November 2021 and remains there until we debit the cash, expected to be the same day. If there’s not enough cash we’ll only apply for as many shares as your capital balance allows.

If you hold subscription shares in an ISA and are asking to buy shares outside of the ISA please tell us this in the further details box below.

3. Sell your subscription shares

You can sell your subscription shares online or over the phone at our normal dealing rates, providing a market still exists.

Any new shares bought are expected to be credited to your portfolio from 14 December 2021.

Full details of this event will be sent to Qualifying Hargreaves Lansdown clients by either post or secure message. Please note that any instruction you give must be based on the full details provided in the letter/message and not on the summary information outlined above.
