Details (last updated 12 Nov 2019)

What is happening?

The last chance to exercise your Fidelity Asian Values subscription shares is nearly here. You need to decide if you’d like to pay to convert these into normal shares.

The deadline to give an instruction is noon on Wednesday 27 November 2019

What are my options?

Option 1 - Do nothing. You don’t have to convert your subscription shares. If you don’t, we’ll remove them from your account. If the share price is above 392.75p when the offer closes, you can expect to receive a cash payment for roughly the difference.

Option 2 - Pay to convert your subscription shares to normal shares. Each Subscription Share may be used to purchase one Ordinary Share at a price of 392.75p per Share.

If your subscription shares are in a Stocks & Shares ISA, you can buy the shares in your ISA, a HL Fund and Share Account, or as a certificate. Otherwise you can only buy new shares in the account where you currently hold the subscription shares. If you hold your subscription shares in your ISA and wish to purchase them outside your ISA please tell us this in the further details box below.

Make sure the cash you need to buy shares is in your capital (not income) account by noon on Wednesday 27 November 2019 and remains there until we debit the cash, expected to be on 28 November 2019. If there’s not enough cash we’ll only apply for as many shares as your capital balance allows. Any new Shares will be added to your account from Friday 13 December 2019.

Option 3 - You can sell your Subscription Shares. You can sell your subscription shares online or over the phone at our normal dealing rates, providing a market still exists. (N.B. we are unable to accept instructions to sell your Subscription Shares that are sent using this election facility. Any instruction to sell your Subscription Shares given via this online facility therefore will not be actioned).

Full details of this event will be sent to Qualifying Hargreaves Lansdown clients by either post or secure message. Please note that any instruction you give must be based on the full details provided in the letter and not on the summary information outlined above.
