Deutsche Bank Trust Company Americas, in its role as Depositary of the PHarol SGPS SA ADRs (American Depositary Receipts), has announced that the ADR facility for PHarol SGPS SA is being cancelled on 3 September 2020.

If you take no action by close of business on 28 August 2020 your holding of ADRs will be cancelled and the underlying Shares may sold on your behalf any time after 6 months from the cancellation date, i.e. from 3 March 2021.

You have the following options to consider before the ADRs are cancelled:

1. Convert your ADRs into PHarol SGPS SA shares

Each ADR will give you one PHarol SGPS SA share. You’ll then be able to trade these shares on the Lisbon Stock Exchange, subject to our standard overseas dealing rates. There is a fee of USD0.02 per ADR converted.

If you would like to choose this option please send us your instruction before noon on Friday 28 August 2020. You can do this below. Shares will be credited upon receipt but the conversion process could take several weeks.

2. Sell your ADRs

You may sell your ADRs in the market before the cancellation. In order to sell your ADRs please contact our Dealers on 0117 980 9800. You can sell your ADRs in the market up until the close of trading on Friday 28 August 2020. You cannot give an instruction to sell your ADRs in the market using this election facility and must use the number above.

Please note that we cannot guarantee that a market will continue to exist in the ADRs up until close of trading on 28 August 2020.

Full details of this event will be sent to Qualifying Hargreaves Lansdown clients by either post or secure message. Please note that any instruction you give must be based on the full details provided in the letter and not on the summary information outlined above.

The London Stock Exchange does not disclose whether a trade is a buy or a sell so this data is estimated based on the trade price received and the LSE-quoted mid-price at the point the trade is placed. It should only be considered an indication and not a recommendation.

Trades priced above the mid-price at the time the trade is placed are labelled as a buy; those priced below the mid-price are sells; and those priced close to the mid-price or declared late are labelled 'N/A'.
