Turquoise Hill Resources Ltd. is a Canada-based mining company. The Company is focused principally on the operation and further development of the Oyu Tolgoi copper-gold mine in Southern Mongolia. The Oyu Tolgoi property is located approximately 550 kilometers south of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia’s capital city, and 80 kilometers north of the Mongolia-China border. The property is cut by the Oyu Tolgoi trend, an approximately 12 kilometers north-south orientated corridor which is host to the known deposits, Hugo North, Hugo South, Oyut and Heruga. Open-pit mining operations have commenced at Oyut. The Hugo North deposit (Lift one) is under development as an underground operation. Hugo North (Lift Two), Hugo South and Heruga, are not yet scheduled for development.
