(Sharecast News) - European stocks were higher early on Tuesday after most indices wrapped up the previous session in the red.

As of 0830 BST, the benchmark Stoxx 600 was up 0.37% at 500.91, while the DAX advanced 0.39% to 17,795.88, the CAC 40 was up 0.37% at 7,277.81 and the IBEX 35 opened 0.29% higher at 10,677.10.

On the macro front, annual inflation hit 2.8% in Spain last month, according to the National Statistics Institute, in line with preliminary estimates. On a monthly basis, however, inflation declined 0.5%.

Still to come, Germany's August economic sentiment survey will be out at 1000 BST.

However, the main focus this week will be on eurozone GDP and employment numbers, which will be due out on Wednesday.

Nexus and Asics were both slated to report earnings on Tuesday.
