Dealing fees
There is no charge to trade funds. Dealing fees are what you pay whenever you place a trade in other investments with HL. Here's how the charges break down.
Online dealing fees
Your online dealing fee is how much you pay every time you place a trade on the website or app.
How much you pay will vary depending on how many trades you placed in the previous month. The more you trade, the less you pay in fees per trade.
The exception to this is the Junior SIPP where online trades are always £5.95.
There is no charge to place online trades in a Junior ISA.

(0-9 trades last month)
£8.95 per trade
(10-19 trades last month)
£5.95 per trade
(20+ trades last month)
There will be extra charges for buying overseas shares.
Phone and postal dealing
1% of trade value - (£20 min, £50 max)
No charge to trade funds
Government tax per trade
- UK Stamp Duty: 0.5% on UK shares (round up to the nearest £5 for residual shares)
- PTM (Panel on Takeover and Mergers): £1.50 on UK share trades over £10,000
- Irish Stamp Duty: 1% on Irish shares
- French Financial Transactions Tax: 0.3% on certain French shares
- Spanish Financial Transactions Tax: 0.2% on certain Spanish shares
- Italian Financial Transactions Tax: 0.1% on certain Italian shares
