BlackRock Resources & Commodities Strategy Trust (the Trust) is a non-diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Trust’s investment objectives are to provide total return and income through a combination of current income and long-term capital appreciation. The Trust will seek to achieve its investment objectives, under normal market conditions, by investing at least 80% of its total assets in equity securities issued by commodity or natural resources companies, derivatives with exposure to commodity or natural resources companies or investments in securities and derivatives linked to the underlying price movement of commodities or natural resources. It invests in various sectors, including metals & mining, oil, gas & consumable fuels, chemicals, containers & packaging, construction materials, food products, paper & forest products, machinery and energy equipment & services.
