The Company operates through four business lines: Sustainable Food Solutions, which supplies food ingredient solutions to the food manufacturers and encompasses Preservation Solutions, Functional Systems, and Single Ingredients; Lactic Acid & Specialties segment which includes Biochemicals: lactic acid, salts, esters and Biomaterials such as polymers for pharmaceutical, medical, home and personal care, animal health, chemicals and electronics applications; Algae Ingredients segment comprises algae-based ingredients providing nutritional for human and animal diets, such as omega-3; and Incubator segment which develops new biotechnology business platforms. The Company operates production sites in the United States, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, the Netherlands and Thailand, and markets its products through a global network of retail offices.
