Guggenheim Strategic Opportunities Fund (the Fund) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund’s investment objective is to maximize total return through a combination of current income and capital appreciation. The Fund’s sub-adviser seeks to combine a credit-managed fixed-income portfolio with access to a diversified pool of alternative investments and equity strategies. The Fund may invest in a wide range of fixed- income and other debt and senior equity securities selected from a variety of sectors and credit qualities. The Fund may invest in Income Securities of any credit quality, including, without limitation. The sectors and types of Income Securities in which the Fund may invest include corporate bonds, Loans and loan participations, Structured finance investments, U.S. government and agency securities, Mezzanine and preferred securities, and Convertible securities.
