Hydrogen Utopia International PLC is a United Kingdom-based company, which is engaged in converting non-recyclable mixed waste plastic into hydrogen and other carbon-free fuels, new materials or distributed renewable heat. The Company’s facility uses non-recyclable mixed waste plastic as feedstock and turns it into syngas from which new products and energy can be produced. Its Plasma technology breaks down waste materials into their elemental components, forming a synthesis gas (syngas). The syngas yield hydrogen and other valuable products whilst any inorganic materials are melted into a non-hazardous, glassy slag that can be used for construction. The plasma enhanced melter (PEM) unlocks the amount of energy from hard-to-abate and hazardous waste, removing it from the system entirely, whilst recovering its latent value. The PEM processes a range of complex waste streams, including mixed plastics, tires, and hazardous waste, to produce clean hydrogen and capture carbon dioxide.
