We're changing our main menu
Our website’s main menu has updated. Everything you know and love is still here but organised in a more effective way.
Here are some of the main changes
See your recently viewed shares, funds and the UK markets: you can now see these in one place by clicking on 'Search'.
View the Shares and Funds pages: click ‘Investing’ and ‘Shares and funds’ in the left-hand column of the menu.
Place a trade or view information on a share, fund or other investment: click on ‘Search’ and start typing the investment name.
View Watchlists: click the 'Watchlists' link which has remained in the same place. This will take you to a page where you can see all your 'Watchlists' in one view.
In the coming months, we’re excited to say we’ll also be delivering a brand-new News, Insights and Research experience on the site. There will also be improvements to our online Help and support service. We’ll share more on these changes soon.
Why change?
HL.co.uk receives millions of visitors each year and we know there’s a lot about the site that people love. For example, we know thousands of you visit daily to check in on the markets, read the latest news and track investments of interest.
But over the past few years, we’ve had extensive feedback from thousands of clients illustrating that it can be hard to find the information you need. Extensive testing of the site has also revealed that it can be difficult for individuals thinking about joining HL to navigate around the website.
These issues create confusion and make it harder for people to make the right decisions for their financial goals.
We’ve also learned that the navigation can be difficult to use for individuals with accessibility needs. Hargreaves Lansdown is here to support everyone looking to save and invest, and our website should reflect that by being truly accessible to all.
We’ve invited several thousand of you to test and try out this new version of the navigation, and your feedback has led us to the design you see today.
The same great HL service
Rest assured that whilst we’re working to improve the website, our products and customer support remain the same great service you’re familiar with.
These updates will not affect how you login, or the logged in areas of the website where you can see your accounts.
