Enviva Inc. is an energy company specializing in wood bioenergy. The Company procure wood fiber and process it into utility-grade wood pellets and load the finished wood pellets into railcars, trucks and barges for transportation to deep-water marine terminals, where they are received, stored and ultimately loaded onto oceangoing vessels for delivery under long-term, take-or-pay off-take contracts to its customers principally in the United Kingdom, the European Union, and Japan. It also procures wood pellets from third parties. The Company's wood pellets are exported from its wholly owned deep-water marine terminal at the Port of Chesapeake, Virginia, terminal assets at the Port of Wilmington, North Carolina, and from third-party deep-water marine terminals in Mobile, Alabama, Panama City, Florida, and Savannah, Georgia. It owns and operates approximately 10 industrial-scale wood pellet production plants located in the Southeastern United States.
