Unigel Group PLC is a United Kingdom-based holding company whose operating subsidiaries, Unigel (UK) Limited (Unigel) and Unitape Limited (Unitape) manufacture and distribute materials used in the manufacture of telecommunication fiber optic cables. Unigel formulates, manufactures, and markets thixotropic gels primarily to the fiber optic cable industry. In addition, it also makes specialty gel products for the construction, green energy, and high voltage transmission apparatus markets. Unitape is a domestic manufacturer and supplier of laminated steel tapes to the fiber optic cable industry in North America. It ships its products from three global manufacturing sites, including the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and Malaysia to over 100 customers worldwide. Other industry applications for the Company’s thixotropic gel products include construction and infrastructure, power transmission and corrosion protection. Unitape exports its products to Latin and South America.
