Old Mutual changed the name of some of its funds to Merian on 1 October 2018.
It’s because Old Mutual Global Investors is being split into two separate asset management businesses. The part that’ll mainly focus on investments in single asset classes, such as UK shares or bonds, has been renamed Merian Global Investors.
It’s impacted a number of the group’s existing funds, including the following Wealth 150 funds:
Old fund name | New fund name |
---|---|
Old Mutual UK Alpha | Merian UK Alpha |
Old Mutual UK Mid Cap | Merian UK Mid Cap |
Old Mutual UK Smaller Companies | Merian UK Smaller Companies |
We don’t think investors need to take any action because there’s no change to each fund’s investment objective or process.
