Why are there different types of loyalty bonus, and what can I do with them?

Funds bought with us before 1 April 2014, and that haven’t been converted, will usually have loyalty bonuses paid as cash. These are shown as ‘cash’ loyalty bonuses and can be used to cover fees, withdrawn or reinvested. Loyalty bonuses on funds bought on or after 1 April 2014 are reinvested into further fund units, so these are shown as ‘unit’ loyalty bonuses.
