Worldwide Healthcare Trust PLC is a specialist investment trust. It invests in the global healthcare sector with the objective of achieving a high level of capital growth. It invests worldwide in a diversified portfolio of shares in pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies and related securities in the healthcare sector. It will not invest more than 15% of the portfolio in any one individual stock at the time of acquisition. It invests over 50% of the portfolio in larger companies, and 20% of the portfolio in smaller companies. It may invest 5% of the portfolio, at the time of acquisition, in debt instruments, convertibles and royalty bonds issued by pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. It may invest 40% of the portfolio in companies in the healthcare equipment and supplies sector and 30% of the portfolio in companies in the healthcare providers and services sector. Its alternative investment fund manager is Frostrow Capital LLP. OrbiMed Capital LLC is its portfolio manager.

In order to achieve a high level of capital growth, the Company invests in the global healthcare sector and in a diversified portfolio of shares in pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies and related securities in the healthcare sector. It uses gearing, and derivative transactions to mitigate risk and also to enhance returns.

The Investment Manager receives a fee equal to 0.65% p.a. of the NAV of Company. The performance fee amounts to 15% of any outperformance of the NAV over the benchmark index. The Company may be terminated by either party giving notice of not less than 12 months.
