Prior to joining the firm in 2017, he was an Equity Research Analyst at Investec and an Assistant Manager at KPMG. Richard holds a first-class B.Sc. in Economics from Bristol University, is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the CFA Institute.

SooHai Lim is the Head of Asia ex-China Equities and Co-Manager of various Asia ex-Japan products and mandates, including the Barings ASEAN Frontiers Fund, Barings Asia Growth Fund, Barings Eastern Trust, Barings Korea Trust and Barings Australia Fund. SooHai joined Barings in November 2005 from Daiwa SB Investments (Singapore), where he was country specialist for Australia and Malaysia. Prior to that, he managed Thai and Malaysian equities in Singapore Telecom's Asset Management department. SooHai graduated from Nanyang Technological University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Accountancy (First Class Hons) Degree and is a member of the CFA Institute.

Clive joined Barings as an investment manager in the Global Resources team in June 2011. He specialises in the analysis and investment management of mining stocks. Prior to rejoining Barings Clive held positions at BlackRock and AllianceBerstein where he was responsible for mining stock analysis. Clive initially joined Barings in 2004 as an Investment Analyst in the Global Resources team. Prior to this he worked for six years as a Senior Metals Analyst at Metal Bulletin Research (MBR) and three years as a Senior Database Analyst for Mining Journal Ltd. Clive was awarded a B.Eng. (Hons.) in Mineral Surveying and Resource Management from the Camborne School of Mines in Cornwall.
