Was promoted to Manager in 2003, Associate Director in 2005, and Director in 2006. Investment Career commenced in 1999. CFA charterholder, Member of CFA Institute. Investment management Certificate (IMC). M.Phil in Economics, Cambridge University. BSc in Economics (First Class Honours), London School of Economics.

Head of Asia ex Japan Equity and also a Regional and Alternatives fund manager, based in Hong Kong. Robin joined Schroders in 1990 after graduating in Economics from Edinburgh University. After training as an analyst in London he moved to HK in 1992 where he worked for 6 years as an Asian Fund Manager. Moved back to London in 1998 to manage specialist Pacific portfolios before moving to Singapore in early 2001 as Deputy CIO for the Asia ex Japan region. In 2002 moved to Hong Kong to help oversee growth of the Greater China product, in addition to continuing with existing Asia ex Japan responsibilities. Appointed Head of Asia ex Japan Equities in 2005 overseeing an investment team managing c.US$20bn of assets (as at end 2007). In 2008 moved to Edinburgh to focus on managing Asian investment strategies with a focus on absolute returns. In August 2010, returned to Hong Kong to manage Asian Total Return as well as other Asian equity strategies. In July 2011, revert back the role as Head of Asia ex-Japan Equities.
