International Consolidated Airlines Group SA has announced its intention to raise gross proceeds of EUR2.75 billion by way of a Rights Issue to strengthen its balance sheet.


The Rights Issue is subject to Shareholder Approval at a General Meeting to be held on 8 September 2020. If you wish to vote in respect of the proposals you will need to give us your instruction before noon on Tuesday 1 September 2020.


The proposed Rights Issue is expected to be launched as soon as possible after the Shareholders Meeting. At this time the terms for the Rights Issue have not been announced.


Unless you wish to vote on the proposals you need take no action at present. We will write to Qualifying Shareholders confirming full terms of the Rights Issue shortly after it launches.


Please note that all details here are provisional at this stage. There can be no guarantee that the Rights Issue will proceed until it has been approved at the General Meeting on 8 September 2020. If the Rights Issue does proceed correspondence will be sent to you that outlines full details of the event.
