Northern 3 VCT PLC is a venture capital trust (VCT). The Company’s objective is to provide high long-term tax-free returns to investors through a combination of dividend yield and capital growth, by investing primarily in unquoted United Kingdom manufacturing, service and technology businesses. The Company invests mainly in unquoted venture capital holdings, with its remaining assets invested in a portfolio of equity investments, quoted investment funds and bank deposits. The Company operates a dividend investment scheme, giving shareholders the option of investing their dividends in new ordinary shares in the Company with the benefit of the tax reliefs available to VCT subscribers. The Company’s portfolio of investments includes software/electronics, healthcare/biotechnology, consumer, services, industrial/manufacturing and others. Mercia Fund Management Limited is the investment manager of the Company.
