The Portfolio Management Service (PMS) is our most comprehensive service, available exclusively through our financial advisers. It brings the best of what Hargreaves Lansdown can offer together, drawing upon the wealth of experience from our investment managers and our highly qualified advisers.
The service aims to give you the very best investment outcome and is designed for investors with £100,000 or more. A professional investment manager will fully manage your portfolio, saving time, sheltering more from the taxman, and improving potential returns.
Our financial advisers will take the time to understand your current situation, aspirations and capacity for risk to best place your investments to meet your long-term needs. They will use their skills to ensure that your investments are tax-efficient as they help build your personal financial planning strategy. Our aim is to form a long-term relationship with clients who value a personal touch and the ability to talk through an investment strategy in plain English.
Once an investment approach is agreed, our award-winning investment managers will focus on managing a portfolio based on the level of risk you are comfortable with.
Benefits of PMS:
Important: You could get back less than you invest and tax benefits will depend on individual circumstances.
Our investment managers have built the investment portfolios in our Portfolio Management Service by working closely with our research analysts to identify our preferred fund managers and funds. Our approach involves extensive assessment of fund managers and their performance to ensure we identify what we consider to be the best funds with the best potential.
Care is taken to ensure that a portfolio is constructed to take advantage of different fund manager approaches whilst minimising overexposure to any particular sector.

It assumes an investment over a five year period. Past performance is not a guide to future returns. It should be remembered that cash and investment are not directly comparable, cash is guaranteed not to fall in value. Source: Lipper IM correct at 30/11/2015
