Chemring-Norway explosives factory study goes to second stage

(Sharecast News) - Chemring said a joint feasibility study with Norway on a new military explosives factory would now go to a second phase.

The new phase will determine the size of the facility, along with the commercial arrangements, and is expected to be finalised next year, Chemring added.

Western governments are ramping up defence spending in order to meet the elevated threat from Russia after its invasion of Ukraine and the pivot by the US towards Moscow since the election of Donald Trump as president, providing a boon for arms makers.
