(Sharecast News) - Investors' focus on Tuesday will continue to be on international trade, as the White House informs many of America's trade partners of the tariffs that they will face - bar a deal with the US - come 1 August.
Nonetheless, remarks from top US officials indicate that several trade deals will be announced over the coming days.
Against that backdrop, the US Treasury is scheduled to auction 52-week and three-year debt at 1530 BST and 1730 BST, respectively.
Those auctions will be followed by the release of US consumer credit data covering the month of May at 1900 BST.
No major economic reports are due out in the UK.
Foreign trade figures for May in France and Germany will be released during the morning.
Further afield, rate-setters in Australia will be meeting to decide on interest rates.
