How to use your PIN
If you need help accessing your account, find out how to use your PIN and log in, and create or change your security details. Here's how to use your PIN.

Before you start
Make sure you have your PIN ready. It will have been sent to your registered address by post. You can request a PIN online when setting up an account, or one will be sent automatically if your account has been locked.
How to use your PIN to register your online account
- Select 'Register' in the top right-hand corner of the website.
- Confirm if you know your client number.
If you selected ‘No’ enter: your last name, your date of birth (or memorable date for group accounts) and the email address associated with your account.
If you selected ‘Yes’ enter: your date of birth and your client number. - Enter the PIN from your letter when prompted.
- Create your login details.
- You’ll see a confirmation screen once your registration is complete.
- You can log in straight away using your new details.
How to use your PIN to unlock your account
- Select 'Log in' in the top right-hand corner of the website.
- After entering your details, you’ll see one of the following screens:
If your account is locked: Select the ‘Reset them now’ link in the red message box.
If your account is not locked: Select either ‘Forgot your Online Password?’ or ‘Forgot your Secure Number?’ (If you’re unsure which to choose, either option will work). - Enter your username and date of birth again to continue.
- Enter the PIN from your letter.
- Reset your login details.
What happens next
You can use these details to log in online, either on the website or using the mobile app.
