(Sharecast News) - Crimson Tide announced the appointment of Rachael Rowe as finance director on Friday, effective from 8 September, succeeding Peter Hurter, who would step down from the board and his executive role on 31 August.

Hurter would remain available to the AIM-traded company in a consulting capacity to ensure a smooth transition.

Rowe would bring two decades of financial experience to the software group.

A Chartered Certified Accountant, she spent 16 years in finance roles across multiple sectors before joining Saga in 2015, where she held senior finance positions over a seven-year period.

Since 2022, she has served as head of finance at Richemont Group's Watchfinder business, overseeing global accounting and operations.

Chris Fielding, non-executive chairman, welcomed the appointment.

"I am delighted to confirm the appointment of Rachael as finance director," he said.

"In past roles, she has demonstrated the leadership and expertise required to help further develop Crimson Tide."

Fielding also thanked Hurter "for his valuable contribution".
