(Sharecast News) - Engineering specialist LPA Group said on Wednesday that it had secured new contract awards for the supply of interior lighting retrofit solutions.
LPA said two of the contracts were for rail refurbishment projects with a major UK-based train builder, while another was with a Dutch train operator. The combined value of these contracts was pegged to be just over 1.4m.
The AIM-listed group will supply roughly 9,000 LED tubes and 9,000 inverter bypass units for Alstom Class 357 trains, starting from September, and will also supply LED tubes and step lights for Alstom Class 222 from October until June 2027.
LPA will supply approximately 20,000 LED tubes and bypass harnesses for Nederlandse Spoorwegen, the major passenger railway operator in the Netherlands, with full delivery expected by the end of September.
Chief executive Philo Daniel-Tran said: "These contract awards represent a significant boost to our manufacturing site in Yorkshire and further reinforces our position in the UK and European rail aftercare market, which remains a key strategic focus for the group."
As of 1000 BST, LPA shares were up 2.00% at 51.0p.
