(Sharecast News) - MediaZest signed a significant new contract with First Rate Exchange Services, it announced on Monday, to supply and install digital currency boards across around 1,200 locations in the UK, marking a major milestone for the audio-visual solutions provider.

The AIM-traded firm said the deal followed a successful proof-of-concept project announced in November, and represented a substantial investment by First Rate in its client offering.

Most of the installations would be delivered over the next 24 months as part of a five-year programme.

The two companies would collaborate to deliver tailored digital signage solutions for First Rate's clients, reinforcing the foreign currency provider's strategy of delivering innovative services at scale.

"We are delighted to have converted the opportunity with First Rate into this significant new contract, which represents a major milestone in our digital signage journey," said Geoff Robertson, chief executive officer of MediaZest.

"By cementing this partnership with First Rate, we have strengthened our position as a leading supplier of integrated digital signage solutions."

MediaZest said further updates on the partnership would be provided as the rollout progressed.

At 1131 BST, shares in MediaZest were flat at 0.08p.
