(Sharecast News) - Northern Bear said Thursday Steve Roberts has stepped down from the board as an executive director, though he would remain with the company in a senior leadership role.

The AIM-traded firm said Roberts rejoined the board in January 2024 following the retirement of Keith Soulsby, having been involved with the business and its subsidiaries since inception.

It said his contribution had provided continuity for shareholders and supported a smooth transition to the board's current structure.

He would continue to serve as a non-plc board director and as part of the senior leadership team alongside the executive directors.

Northern Bear said it "continues to welcome his support" and thanked him for his contribution to the group.

At 1110 BST, shares in Northern Bear were up 1.39% at 87.7p.
