(Sharecast News) - Synergia Energy said on Wednesday that four legacy well workovers had been completed at the Cambay production sharing contract in India, where the company holds a 50% working interest.
The AIM-traded company said the C-64 well had been worked over after sand build-up caused the sucker rod pump to seize.
Sand was removed and the pump optimised, with the well now operating at a reduced pump rate and producing about 30 barrels of oil per day with a 50% water cut.
At C-72, Synergia said the well had been re-perforated in the OSII formation and the sucker rod pump replaced.
The well was currently cleaning up brine kill fluid.
The C-19z well, which had been producing small volumes of oil on natural flow, has had a sucker rod pump installed.
A gas pipeline was also being installed to connect gas output to the C-73 facility.
Initial production of about 11 barrels of oil per day has since fallen to 2 to 3 barrels per day, with pump optimisation ongoing.
Workover operations had also been completed at C-08, which is currently cleaning up brine kill fluid.
Gas output from the well was expected to be connected to the C-73 facility through a new pipeline now under construction.
Synergia said the C-74 well continued to produce about 60 barrels of oil per day, while the C-77H well was producing at 0.08 million standard cubic feet per day.
All production figures are gross.
The company also said technical teams from Selan and Synergia had been holding detailed discussions over the planned C-79 well, which was expected to be drilled into the Eocene reservoir.
The well is planned to intersect the oil leg of the reservoir.
At 0948 BST, shares in Synergia Energy were up 9.09% at 0.01p.
