(Sharecast News) - Tekcapital announced that its portfolio company Guident has entered the robotics market with its first commercial contract for autonomous surveillance technology.
Guident would deploy its 'WatchBot' autonomous surveillance and inspection robots at the Boca Raton Innovation Campus (BRiC), a 1.7 million square foot office facility in Florida formerly used as IBM's research and development centre.
The AIM-traded firm said the WatchBot system integrates real-time monitoring, AI-powered analytics, and automated security capabilities to support BRiC's facility operations and enhance tenant experience.
It said the contract was Guident's first commercial deployment of its teleoperated and autonomous technology beyond vehicle applications, extending its reach into smart infrastructure and facilities management.
"We are proud to partner with BRiC to deliver cutting-edge autonomous solutions that redefine campus management," said chairman and chief executive officer Harald Braun.
"WatchBot demonstrates Guident's commitment to innovation and safety, and we are thrilled to contribute to BRiC's vision of creating a world-class environment for technology and life sciences tenants.
"Together, we are setting a new standard for operational efficiency and intelligent campus management."
At 1132 BST, shares in Tekcapital were up 5% at 7.88p.
