(Sharecast News) - Manolete Partners announced the appointment of Will Sawyer as its chief financial officer on Friday, effective 15 December, as the insolvency litigation financing firm strengthened its leadership team.

It said Sawyer was bringing 25 years of finance and accounting experience, including seven years as CFO of the AIM-traded Zinc Media Group, where he had resigned to take up the new role.

He previously served as finance director at ITN Productions, qualified as a chartered accountant with Deloitte, and worked as a corporate finance manager at the BBC.

"I'm delighted that Will has agreed to join Manolete and look forward to him joining the board in December," said chief executive Mena Halton.

"I would like to thank Rachel Lindley-Janes for her sterling work as Interim head of finance while we undertook a thorough review process to appoint a permanent CFO.

"As a seasoned public markets CFO, Will's extensive experience in finance and accounting make him ideally suited to the role, and I look forward to working with him to continue to grow the Manolete business."

At 1400 BST, Manolete Partners shares were down 2.66% at 91.5p.
