Convatec CEO Karim Bitar passes away

(Sharecast News) - Medical products and technologies company Convatec said on Monday that chief executive officer Karim Bitar has passed away.

Bitar had been on medical leave since 4 August.

"Colleagues at Convatec are deeply saddened by this devastating news," the company said. "Our sincerest sympathies are with Karim's wife and family, and we extend our condolences to them."

Interim leadership arrangements remain in place and a further announcement will be made in due course.
