(Sharecast News) - Eurostar said services were gradually returning after many services were cancelled due to power issues in the Channel Tunnel but still warned passengers to postpone their travel.
Tunnel infrastructure operator Getlink said traffic on the vital route between the UK and continental Europe would resume gradually at 1400 GMT.
In a statement on its website Eurostar said: "As the Channel Tunnel has partially reopened we will start to resume services. The overhead power supply issue remains, and we strongly advise all our passengers to postpone their journey to a different date."
"Please don't come to the station if your train is confirmed as cancelled. We regret that trains that can run will be subject to severe delays and possible last-minute cancellations. Please check for live updates on the status of your train on the Train status and timetables page."
LeShuttle, which runs the car train service between Folkestone in the UK and Calais on the French side of the channel, said trains were running in both directions with "significant delays".
After earlier delays and last-minute cancellations, services to and from St Pancras International were cancelled, the travel operator announced earlier on Tuesday afternoon.
It earlier warned of "major disruption" after a problem with the overhead power supply in the Channel Tunnel and a subsequent failed Le Shuttle train, which carries cars and freight vehicles between Folkestone and Calais.
As of 1309 GMT, the 0701 passenger train from St Pancras was yet to arrive in Paris.
