(Sharecast News) - HgCapital Trust said on Tuesday that it was investing around £20m in Nourish, a provider of software for the UK social and community care sector.

The investment will be made alongside other institutional clients of Hg through the Hg Mercury Fund.

HgCapital said it will help Nourish continue investing in its product and developing new solutions "that improve the customer experience, make carers' lives easier, and keep human relationships at the heart of high-quality care".

David Issott, partner at Hg, said: "Social and community care is some of the most important work in our society, and carers deserve the very best technology to support them in this work. We are delighted to be backing [founder and chief executive] Nuno and the team at Nourish to continue delivering on that.

"Nourish has a modern product that care providers love, developed in close partnership with the people who use it. Better software allows care workers to spend more time on care and less on admin, helping to deliver better outcomes for the people they support."
