(Sharecast News) - The long-standing chief financial officer of LondonMetric Property is to retire, the real estate investment trust announced on Monday.
Martin McGann, 65, will leave next summer after spending much of his career at the company. He joined LondonMetric in January 2013, but prior to that worked at London & Stamford Property and Pillar Property with chief executive Andrew Jones and other members of the current management team.
London & Stamford merged with Metric Property to create the current business in 2013.
Jones said: "Martin and I have worked together for over 20 years and shared an extraordinary journey.
"Our partnership has propelled LondonMetric to become one of the UK's largest businesses. Martin departs with the company financially and structurally well positioned."
McGann said: "The last 25 years at Pillar, London & Stamford and LondonMetric have been incredibly exciting and full of opportunities.
"There is plenty still to do before I had over the reins net summer, and my focus remains firmly on the business and ensuring a smooth handover."
The blue chip said plans for a suitable replacement for McGann were already "well underway".
