(Sharecast News) - The London Stock Exchange Group is reportedly studying whether to move to 24-hour trading.

Citing people with knowledge of the matter, the Financial Times reported on Sunday that the market operator was looking into what would required in order to do so.

Any change would be part of a wider strategy of rolling out new products and services.

Several of the main US markets have already filed for permission to begin around-the-clock trading.
