(Sharecast News) - Budget airline Ryanair reported a 4% jump in passenger numbers for September on Friday.

Traffic rose to 20.1m from 19.4m in August, while the load factor - which gauges how full the planes are - was steady at 94%.

On a rolling 12-month basis, passenger numbers grew 5% to 215.1m and the load factor was unchanged at 94%.

Ryanair operated more than 111,700 flights last month. Over 1,000 flights were cancelled due to another UK ATC system collapse, Belgian ATC strikes, and Mount Etna eruptions.
