Severn Trent's Hodgson to replace Adam Crozier as Whitbread chair - report

(Sharecast News) - The chair of Severn Trent is reportedly set to become the new chair of Premier Inn owner Whitbread.

According to Sky News, Christine Hodgson has been selected as the preferred candidate to replace Adam Crozier.

City sources told Sky her appointment could be announced as early as next week.

Hodgson was said to have seen off competition for the post from Andrew Martin, chair of testing and inspection group Intertek.

Crozier, who has chaired the leisure group since 2018, is expected to step down later this year.

At 1605 BST, the shares were up 3.3% at 2,829p.
