(Sharecast News) - Softcat hailed another year of "exceptional" growth on Wednesday as it posted a rise in profit and gross invoiced income, driven by a "very strong", broad-based performance.

In the year to the end of July, gross invoiced income grew 30.5% to £4.7bn, driven by "very strong", broad-based performance together with the contribution from larger solutions projects.

Gross profit - the company's primary measure of income - was 24.7% higher at £616.3m. Softcat said growth was supported by the contribution from previously-disclosed larger solutions projects, the pull-forward of some customer orders due to memory shortages, and a positive vendor rebate contribution.

Underlying operating profit rose 19.4% to £215.1m and Softcat declared a final ordinary dividend of 21.6p, taking the full-year dividend to 31.5p, up 7.5% on the previous year.

Looking ahead, and excluding the contribution from recently-acquired US multi-vendor IT solutions provider GDT, Softcat said business momentum remains strong and it expects to deliver high single-digit underlying operating profit growth in 2027. This will be slightly ahead of gross profit growth following very strong two-year growth across 2025 and 2026, it said.

Chief executive Graham Charlton said: "Softcat delivered outstanding performance in FY2026, continuing the momentum established in the first half. Growth in gross profit and underlying operating profit came in significantly ahead of our expectations at the start of the year, reflecting the strength of our culture, the quality of our customer relationships and the benefits of the sustained investment we have made over many years in our people, capabilities, systems and data.

"The trusted advice, technical capability and exceptional service we provide continue to differentiate our offering and build long-term credibility and loyalty with customers."
