(Sharecast News) - Tritax Big Box said it still expected a favourable planning decision on its data centre outside London after the government said it would now deliver a verdict by July 7.
Planning permission for a 147MW data center in Slough, London had already been delayed until early June.
Tritax in 2025 applied for planning permission to build the center campus at the 74-acre Manor Farm, a part-greenfield and part-brownfield site.
However, the local authority argued that the proposal should be rejected because of the parcel's 'green belt' designation which protects it from certain kinds of development.
The matter was then taken up by the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities, and Local Government, Steve Reed, who has the power to make a final decision.
