(Sharecast News) - Aston Martin Lagonda posted a narrowing of its third-quarter losses on Wednesday as revenue rose, boosted by deliveries of its Valhalla supercar.
In the three months to September end, revenue jumped 36% to £388.7m and pre-tax losses narrowed to £77.1m from £111.9m in the same period a year earlier. The operating loss narrowed to £26m from £56.1m.
The car maker said its third-quarter operating performance was in line with expectations, with core retail volumes ahead of wholesale volumes, in addition to a further 127 Valhalla deliveries.
In the nine months to the end of September, pre-tax losses narrowed to £231.3m from £252.7m, with revenue up 38% at £1.02bn. Total wholesale volumes in the year to date rose 12% on the previous year, driven by around 350 Valhalla Coupe deliveries within Specials.
The company said it was on track with FY 2026 guidance for total wholesale volumes to be similar to the prior year, including approximately 500 Valhalla Coupe deliveries.
Chief executive Adrian Hallmark said: "Our year-to-date 2026 performance demonstrates tangible and consistent progress towards the financial transformation of Aston Martin. Valhalla deliveries, and the benefits of our transformation programme, have lifted gross margin to 35%, while free cash outflow almost halved as we move towards our goal of cash generation. We expect this momentum to continue into Q4 and beyond, in line with our unchanged full year 2026 guidance and outlook.
"Our product line-up has also strengthened. The new DBX GT brings a more elegant, quiet-luxury character to our SUV range and two new models have elevated our Specials programme: Valen, launched in Q3 as the world's most powerful front-engined production car, and the Valhalla Spider, unveiled today, which builds on the success of the groundbreaking mid-engined PHEV Valhalla Coupe. Together, they give us a strong platform for the future."
At 1050 GMT, the shares were down 1.4% at 37.48p.
