(Sharecast News) - Investors' focus in the middle of the week will be on the minutes of the US central bank's most recent policy meeting.
They will be looking for insights into whether the Federal Reserve will start cutting interest rates again in September or October.
Against that backdrop, they will also be keeping a close eye on the latest trade headlines as the initial deadline for reaching deals with the US lapses today Wednesday.
In its place, President Donald Trump may issue new tariff announcement against more countries.
Also of considerable importance, overnight China's National Bureau of Statistics will release consumer price data for June.
Across the Channel, ECB vice-president Luis de Guindos will deliver a speech at 1100 BST.
On home shores, the Treasury will conduct an auction of 10-year Gilts at 0930 BST.
At 2301 BST, the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors will publish its UK House Price Balance for June.
On the corporate side of things, budget airline Jet2 is due to release its full fiscal year results.
In April, the carrier guided towards full-year group profits of between 565-570m - which was in line with expectations - and said that it would repurchase 250m-worth of its own shares.
However, it did not share any guidance regarding 2026, something that City analyst Michael Hewson hopes will change this time around.
"Interestingly there was little market reaction to the reluctance to provide any sort of guidance for 2026. Hopefully we'll get more detail on that as well as further updates when it comes to its summer and winter bookings."
